Participate in the 2017-2018 Donate Life Vermont Poster Contest!
As everyone settles nicely into the school and fall routine, we are super excited to announce our 3rd Annual Donate Life Vermont High School Poster Contest!
For the past two years, we have been fortunate enough to see some of the most talented and creative entries from high school students throughout Vermont. Every participant has presented a unique way to raise awareness about the lifesaving impact of organ, eye and tissue donation and we are confident that this year will be just as meaningful!
Students are at the age when many will be applying for their driver’s license or state ID. The contest is intended to help teens learn the facts about donation to help them make their decision when they are asked at the DMV if they want to register to be an organ and tissue donor. Students can learn about donation while showing off their creativity and talent, and they could win one of several fantastic prizes:
1st place: Apple iPad Mini 3
2nd place: Samsung Galaxy Tablet
3rd place: $100 Amazon Gift Card
Nicholas Bogie Award: cash prize
We are also offering a prize for the teacher who has the highest number of students who submit posters; you could win a $100 Amazon gift card for classroom materials!
The contest is a collaborative project with the New England Donor Services (NEDS) and the Center for Donation and Transplant (CDT). Together our organizations provide donor awareness and educational programs to communities across the state.
The awards will be presented once again this spring at the Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) Headquarters in Montpelier.
To help make the most of school and student participation in the poster contest, we are also offering the opportunity to have someone from Donate Life Vermont come and speak in classrooms, assemblies or at other relevant school events.
